The series Tinta Viva - previously exhibited at Alchemy Gallery in New York (January 2024), at Gallery Soleille in Ibiza (June 2024) and at Heart Ego Gallery in Monterrey (December 2024) - strive for perfection in an uncontrolled physical world. Not dissimilar to the Italian Arte Povera artists including Jannis Kounellis and Mario Merz, Cartas mixes with the ink unexpected materials such as Volcanic lava dust from Etna and explosive powder. The production and result of the explosion becomes a beautifully textured work on paper that when viewed with a macro-scale remind us of the galaxies.
