The series División Azul uses methylene blue - a medical diagnostic dye, that has been distilled, demineralised, and deionised water - to create an electric blue aqueous medium. This work challenges the fleeting desire for beauty and individual interests in contrast to the essence of culture and the real connection between us and our environment. It serves as a commentary on climate change, poor water management, and the water crisis in Mexico City, urging for greater care and sustainable practices.
